Where do the projects come from?

From public documents. Every working day Modou reads officielebekendmakingen.nl, TenderNed, grid operator publications, permit registers, and the council agendas of the municipalities we follow. That last one is a growing list, not national coverage. Every project says what kind of document it came from and which date sits under it, so you can check it yourself.

Question 2

Why do I not see this in Cobouw or a leads database?

Accepted Answer

The trade press, Cobouw included, tells you what happened, and everyone reads it at the same moment. A leads database gives you a thousand names with no reason to call today. Modou tells you why this project needs your product now: the estate cannot get onto the grid yet, the environmental requirement in the specification sits below the statutory ceiling, or the nitrogen headroom has to come from the plan itself. That is the reason to call, and it is written in the document.

How do I make contact about a project?

Accepted Answer

By phone, and otherwise through LinkedIn or email. Your briefing names the role that has to act, for example the developer or the municipal project lead, with the phone number, the LinkedIn profile and the email address, where those are publicly findable. If nobody can be found, Modou says so. It never fills in a name it does not have. And the call is yours: Modou never phones or emails anyone on your behalf on its own initiative.

Do I have to install or maintain anything?

Accepted Answer

No. Your briefing arrives in your email, every working day. If you want to dig deeper into a project you can do that in Slack, Telegram or Discord. There is no extra database to keep up to date, no second CRM and no portal to log into. Connect your own CRM and Modou sees who you already know and says so, but you do not have to.

What happens to my data?

What Modou learns about your business stays inside your own account and is not shared with other customers. The production database runs in the European Union and your data is not used to train a shared AI model. Anything somebody outside your company could see is put in front of you first. The security page sets out exactly how that works, and where the limits are.

Question 6

What does a pilot cost and what do we agree?

Modou starts with a free 7-working-day pilot. We agree up front what we judge it on. Two things count: precision, how much of what you get is correct and fits your product, and action rate, how much of it you actually pick up. At the end we put the numbers next to that agreement and you decide. After that, every company gets an individual quote.

Will this work for my product?

Accepted Answer

That depends on the constraint your product does something about. It works best when your product solves a concrete problem that keeps turning up in public documents: a full grid, an environmental performance requirement, a zero emission zone, nitrogen headroom, a heat plan, or soil and water. The constraints page sets out, per constraint, what Modou can and cannot see about it. During onboarding we record what you make and who you sell to, and every project is tested against that.

Can I create an account myself?

Accepted Answer

No. Accounts are created during onboarding. Modou only works once it knows what you make, who you sell to and where you work, and we set that up together with you. Question 9

Does Modou find grants too?

Accepted Answer

Yes, alongside the main work. If a grant call appears in the same documents and fits what you make, you get it too. The same goes for press and partner openings. It is a bonus, not the reason you take Modou.

Why is there no price list?

Accepted Answer

Because the price depends on your company: how many people work with Modou and how many regions you follow. Every company gets an individual quote, and onboarding plus a dedicated account manager are included in it.
